About Me

I qualified as an occupational therapist in 2003 and I have worked across hospitals, community services, schools and workplaces before moving into independent practice in 2013.

I have specialised in both Neuro Rehabilitation and Paediatrics for over 20 years and I have expertise knowledge and skills enabling me to provide the highest level of support to children, adults and their families.

I am very effective at developing a rapport with children and adults and making therapy fun and enjoyable, whilst still achieving results.

My approach is collaborative and professional, whilst being practical and focusing on achieving change in real-life environments.

Some people come to see me because they want a clear understanding of what’s going on. Others already know the difficulties and just want practical help to make daily life easier. We decide together what feels most useful.

An assessment is usually the starting point. I spend time getting to know how things are working day-to-day — at home, school, work or out in the community. I may watch tasks, try activities and talk things through so I can see what’s getting in the way and what will actually help.

Afterwards you receive clear recommendations you can use straight away. This might be small changes to routines, ways to reduce overwhelm, adapting tasks, sensory ideas, or guidance you can share with school or work. I can also provide formal written reports for schools, written in a format suitable for EHCP processes if needed.

Some families and adults just need a plan that they can take forward themselves. Others prefer a few follow-up sessions so we can try strategies together, adjust them and build confidence gradually.

Sessions take place where life happens — usually home, school, community settings or workplace — so the advice fits real situations rather than a clinic room.

All intervention is goal focussed and client led, with regular reviews and progress updates.

If you’re unsure what you need, you’re welcome to arrange an enquiry call and we can talk it through without pressure.

If you would like to discuss options for occupational therapy a complimentary enquiry call can be arranged.

Neuro Occupational Therapy

I am an occupational therapist with over 20 years’ experience in neurological rehabilitation, specialising in brain injury, and stroke rehabilitation. I work with adults who are experiencing cognitive, physical and behavioural changes affecting independence at home, in the community and at work.

My role is to understand how the injury affects day-to-day function and to develop practical rehabilitation plans that support meaningful recovery. This may include cognitive rehabilitation, fatigue management, executive functioning strategies, behavioural support and graded return to everyday activities.

I carry out both standardised and functional assessments and provide clear rehabilitation recommendations. Intervention may include therapy programmes, equipment provision, environmental adaptation and workplace assessment to support safe independence and return to employment where appropriate.

I use a goal-focused, holistic approach and regularly work alongside case managers, solicitors and the wider multidisciplinary team. I also provide education and training for clients, families and support staff to ensure strategies are carried through in daily life.

I have experience working as an occupational therapy expert within legal processes and understand the requirements of medico-legal reporting and rehabilitation planning.

Areas of clinical expertise include:

  • Cognitive and executive functioning rehabilitation

  • Fatigue and behavioural management following brain injury

  • Activities of daily living and independence training

  • Vocational rehabilitation and return to work

  • Upper limb rehabilitation

  • Equipment assessment and environmental adaptation
