About me
I am Anna, Specialist Independent Occupational Therapist.
Since qualifying as an Occupational Therapist in 2003, I have worked in a variety of clinical settings. These include acute hospital wards, clients home, schools and workplaces.
The majority of my career has been spent within the specialist areas of brain injury, stroke and paediatric therapy. I have been working in independent practice since 2013 and have a vast range of experience treating and assessing a large number of clinical areas and conditions.
These include physical disabilities, upper limb rehabilitation, cognitive and attention retraining, executive functioning, treatment of paediatric conditions such as sensory processing, ADHD, and Autism, vocational rehab, fatigue and sleep challenges and anxiety management.
I also have experience with home adaptations, design and modification and I strive to design spaces that promote function and independence.
I value the importance of working in a holistic, client centred way ensuring that assessments and treatment is relaxed and meaningful.
Neuro Occupational Therapy
I am an experienced occupational therapist with 20 years experience in the field of neurology. I specialise in the assessment and treatment of acquired brain injury, stroke, and long-term neurological conditions.
I work with clients who experience cognitive, physical and behavioural difficulties as a result of their injuries, using a variety of standardised and non standardised assessments. I am able to assess, plan and carryout therapeutic intervention, including equipment provision and workplace assessments.
I used a goal based approach to rehabilitation and ensure that all work that is carried out is holistic and client centred.
I value the importance or working alongside other members of a multi disciplinary team and I have experience of providing training and education to clients, family members and support staff.
I also work as an expert care and occupational therapist for the courts and have a good understanding of the legal requirements required for rehabilitation.

Services
I provide Occupational Therapy intervention within homes, schools, community or workplace to offer assessment and treatment as required.
All intervention is goal focussed and client led, with regular reviews and progress updates.
One-off assessments or ongoing treatment is available.

Paediatric Assessment for EHCP applications
A formal report for schools with recommendation for on-going treatment and assistance with EHCP targets and specifications as required.
Face to Face Therapy Treatment
To include on-going assessment, goal setting, treatment planning and review as required.
Remote Support Clinics
If you suspect that you, or your child, would benefit from Occupational Therapy but you do not know what support you require, remote support session would allow you discuss your concerns and .seek advice
Remote Therapy
The option for remote therapy is available if you have limited time available or live further afield.
Equipment Recommendation and Provisons
I am able to provide recommendations and assessments for privately purchased pieces of equipment.
Initial Occupational Therapy Assessment
OT assessment for adults and children to address any needs identified. To inclide standaridised assessments where requried and report and recommendations for on-going treatment if required.
Costs for all interventions are available upon request.
Paediatric Occupational Therapy
I am able to provide assessment and treatment of children and young people both at home and within the school environment. I have experience of working in a number of primary and secondary schools and am able to offer support and advice for a number of paediatric conditions, including sensory processing, ADHD, autism, dyspraxia and cerebral palsy.
I ensure that all my sessions carried out are fun, meaningful and enjoyable as I believe that establishing a good rapport is key to successful interventions and achieving sustainable outcomes.

Remote Support Clinics
If you think you or your child would benefit from occupational therapy but you don't know where to start, or what support you require, I can offer remote support sessions to get you started.
This includes completing a pre-assessment questionnaire and discussing you or your child's current challenges from the comfort of your own home.
I am able to provide personalised therapy programmes to address the areas highlighted, and provide regular check in session as required.
This is a great option if you don't want your child to become aware of your concerns or if you want to keep costs low.
